This study was descriptive studies to assess the incremental net benefit of the screening test to detect HIV-antigen and HIV-antibody, compared with HIV-antibody alone among blood donors at National Blood Center, Thai Red Cross Society. The incremental net benefit of the screening test to detect HIV-antigen and HIV-antibody was negative(B-16,759,291). However, when we considered the chance which the donated blood could produced other blood components, the incremental net benefit of this screening test was positive (B 1,780,329). The resullt from this study can provide the important information for planners and policy makers in decision making about policy of screening tests among blood donors in the future
